According to Craig&#8217;s Registry this would be Rufus Bacon who operated at this NYC address from 1856-60. Bacon has done a wonderful job creating this casual pose while showcasing the gentleman\u2019s personality! He is surely a businessman of means, probably both respected and feared in the city. The image is in excellent minus condition with brilliant tones and contrast with his cigar having a fiery red tip. It is housed in a great \u201cEagle in Flight\u201d case, Berg 4-25.
