Interesting small black lacquer and mother of pearl case that is similar in style to the Halverson case with the flip-up latch. This piece was converted much later than period to hold two small tintypes approximately 1 \u00bd\u201d x 3\u201d. We\u2019ve seen these period cases as coin purses or housing a mirror so they served various functions. Still a fun holder for two tintypes. While the lacquer and mother of pearl are in decent condition the outside edges of the red fabric on the front and back show significant wear.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
