The first two show the same building from different angles. It has just been closed or about to open as we see two framed enlargements in the front window along with a vase and the photographer’s dog looking out the window. The view directly in front shows the best view of the dog which appears to be a bulldog. The third image shows the studio for F. J. Moore MN’G Prov. Photo. Co. This was previously owned by William Miller who had studios around this area. We’re not sure if they were in partnership at this time or if Moore was documenting the history of the transfer of the studio. We love the fact that it’s next to a small cemetery or possibly a funeral home/stone maker. The former owner had numerous images from the Moore archive and we suspect Moore moved from the previous location to Miller’s old studio. We’ve seen a number of photos of the town and the empty building has that cool open elevated view that would have been perfect for capturing those images. The images are in very good condition with outstanding tones and contrast on the finished studio. There are a few spots as seen. For another example of Moore’s marked work please see the following lot of two dolls. $110

Group of 3 cabinet cards of Middleton CT Splendid group of three cabinet cards, (5 ½” x 6 ½”), of Middletown, CT photographic studios.
