His eyes read that he was struggling, possibly with the loss of a loved one. He is perfectly styled with a well-groomed beard and his thinning hair has a gentle sweep at the top. There is an identification on the inside silk mat but unfortunately it appears someone taped over the id and eventually it was removed. We can decipher his first name as William but the rest is not legible for us. The image is in excellent minus condition with a few spots and a cool tarnish pattern. It had old seals intact and we have now resealed it with a new glass.
