We love the casual nature of his pose and can imagine him rocking back on the legs of his chair to achieve this position. More casual in dress than the normal English image, he is sporting a small upside down horseshoe pin on his patterned tie. The plate is in very good plus condition with strong tones and contrast. There are a few small spots as seen. The back had an old full plate seal that was loose and we have now resealed it with a new glass.
