Capitol Gallery announces its Spring 2010 auction!

Daguerreotype offerings include an exceptional outdoor scene of downtown St. Louis, a wonderful occupationan, a musician and a touching postmortem. Ambrotypes and tintypes include a superb half-pate occupational of a surveyor, a very interesting Irish portrait, additional occupationals, a great man and dog and bicycles. Cases include an extraordinary all-mother-of-pearl quarter-plate with a painting mounted in the center, a rare, unlisted whole-plate frame, and a triple-thick oreo with a mother-of-pearl center. Paper images include ocupationals, dolls, animals, an interesting still-life cdv, a portrait of Lincoln, an advertisement and a wonderful city-scene from Montana.
