Marking his favorite passage

Great sixth-plate daguerreotype of an intense gentleman holding a book open to his favorite passage. We get the feeling that this man is an orator or possibly a minister who is quite passionate about his profession. This is an extremely illuminated image and in very good condition with wonderful tones and some light perimeter tarnish. There are a couple of small spots and a very small mat mark at the top left border. At an angle there is also an extremely small, pinpricked-sized ding at the top border on the left side. The image was unsealed when purchased and has now been resealed with new glass. It is housed in a full pressed-paper case that exhibits some wear.
