Cute sixth-plate daguerreotype of a mother and her pixie-like daughter posed arm in arm. The little girl, who seems to have slightly large ears, is wearing a polka-dot dress with a large belt buckle while the mother wears a plain outfit with a pin attached at her neckline. The plate is in excellent condition with light hand tinting to their faces and lips. The image has a fairly wide band of light perimeter tarnish along with two tarnish spots visible on the mother’s arms. It is housed in a full leather case.
