Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a handsome young man dressed in formal attire and a lovely floral print vest. With beautiful lighting and great plate preparation this image exhibits wonderful qualities. It is in excellent condition with a thin line of perimeter tarnish which further accentuates this piece. Light hand tinting has been applied to the sitter’s face. Old seals were intact when purchased and the image has now been resealed with a new glass. It is contained in a full leather case.
