Darling sixth-plate daguerreotype of an adorable little girl dressed to the nines in her ermine-trimmed coat, cute wool hat and ribbons tied in her hair. She’s posed with the utmost confidence, staring at the photographer with a sense of ease. She surely knows her social standing and appears completely ready for her debutant debut in the not too distant future. The plate is in excellent condition with a band of perimeter tarnish. The whites could be slightly stronger, giving a somewhat muted appearance. The image had old seals intact and has now been resealed with new glass. It is housed in a nice, full leather case with a bird-and-grape design.
