Dazzling sixth-plate daguerreotype of a smiling confident young woman enjoying her day in the studio. She wears a gorgeous light color pleated off-the-shoulders dress with a subtle print and cool patterned black lace gloves for contrast. We love the way the stylish wood chair was offset most likely to accommodate her billowing gown. She casually leans on a blue and red tinted tablecloth with a model’s confidence! The plate is in very good condition with nice tones and contrast. There are some green spots seen on the top right edge by the mat. The plate is resealed with a new glass and is housed in a great full case.
