Dynamic sixth-plate ruby ambrotype of a Civil War soldier. He wears a Federal Eagle belt buckle and an overcoat cape with his gun holstered on the right side. His shirt has a light pink tint and the inside lapel of his jacket is a red/brown color. This vibrant image is in excellent minus condition with outstanding tones and contrast. There is some light tinting on his face. There is a darker area as seen on the bottom and this seems to be from the original process. The image is housed in an excellent condition brown geometric union case. Opening bid $280
