Lot 57

Fun sixth-plate English tintype of an entire family posed at the beach.  There are grandparents and probably an aunt, along with the parents of the children. We can’t say for sure but the small girl in the center might be black. Three large rowboats are directly behind the group with the boardwalk seen in the distance.  The image has nice tones and contrast with soft focus. There is a hint of wear and it appears the image had a mat at one time.
