Artistic cabinet card of a serene fishing scene with craggily cliffs in the background. The day looks perfect with the water reflecting like glass. A man sits in a hotel boat intently watching his pole for a nibble. A young lad whom we assume is his son is enjoying his time in the grass on the left side. The image is identified with a handwritten note on the back as Shepherd’s Crag, Lodore. Near Borrowdale in the Lake District are the Lodore Spa and Hotel and the Lodore Falls in Derwentwater, Keswick, England. The image is in very good condition with nice tones and contrast. There are some spots in the negative on the lake as seen and a nick on the right side. By Alfred Pettit who worked out of Keswick and Gilsland Spa which is in the same area.
