Artful sixth-plate European daguerreotype of a dashing young gentleman. Dressed in a perfectly fitted stylish jacket and vest that is complimented by his bold ascot his personality shines. He sports a big smile indicating his fun loving nature and we suspect he was the life of all the parties! This dynamic daguerreotype delights us and will put a smile on your face with every glance. It is still sealed, in excellent minus condition with lovely tones and contrast. The buffing lines seen at an angle suggest 1845 or earlier.
