Fascinating sixth-plate daguerreotype of an interesting young gentleman with sweeping blonde hair. He is styled in a lovely formal suit with a high starched collar and a perfectly fitted cool tie and seems to be enjoying his day in the studio given his slight grin. The blacks and white provide the perfect contrast! The plate is in very good plus condition with some light tinting to his face. At an angle we can see extremely light hints of some typical buffing marks. We have resealed it with a new glass and it is housed in a full case.
