Fabulous bright sixth-plate daguerreotype of an older white-haired gentleman. His expression is priceless with wide-open eyes highlighted by his sweeping upward eyebrows! He has kept his slender physique after all the years, but we suspect his tight frown may indicate he is sporting false or missing teeth. An extremely strong portrait with wonderful detail, this image is in excellent minus condition with strong tones and contrast. An added bonus is his shirt, which shows a natural hue of both pink and blue solarization that is quite lovely. It has been resealed with new glass and is housed in a full case.
