Touching sixth-plate daguerreotype of two sisters wearing nearly identical outfits. The style is the same, with a cool fringe bodice, the floral fern pattern on the older sister’s dress is larger and bolder. The sister on the right distinguishes herself with black ribbon bracelets and a slightly more intricate lace collar. Both wear pins at their necks and similar hairstyles with small spit curls. The bright plate is in excellent minus condition with strong tones and contrast. It had old seals intact and we have now resealed it with a new glass.
