Fun sixth-plate daguerreotype of a young woman with an extremely thick head wavy hair styled up in a way that looks like it is either long or bushy or both. To add some humor, her top left ear is tucked into the bun and gives her a “Vulcan” appearance with a pointed ear! Now her earrings are some of the most unique you will find as two clusters of pearls or diamonds resemble a pineapple. Her dress is quite simple, with a divine lace collar with a beautiful pin at the center. The plate has been cleaned in the past and there is some spotting as seen. It has a re-silvered back and we have now sealed it with a new glass. It is housed in a wonderful grape design case with a butterfly on the inside velvet mat which fits her perfectly!
