Cool close-up sixth-plate daguerreotype of an interesting looking man. The plain rippled backdrop and subtle tonal qualities give this image the feel of a slightly later-date daguerreotype.  This dark mysterious gentleman stares in a thought-provoking manner that makes one want to stare back. The image has been cleaned in the past and there are some marks/scratches. It has now been resealed with a new glass, and it is housed in half of a case.
