Charming sixth-plate daguerreotype of a woman dressed in white with a black silk drape wrapped around her arms. We don’t often see a pure white dress and it stands in perfect contrast to her lovely dark cape. The image is in very good condition with a hint of tinting to her face and lips. The plate had old seals but we see a couple of thin black lines on the right side which was probably done during the process. There are also some light buffing lines seen mostly at an angle. We have resealed the image with a new glass and it is housed in a full case.
