Brilliant sixth-plate ambrotype of a dashing gentleman in a top hat and smoking a cigar. The photographer has done a wonderful job creating this casual pose while showcasing the gentleman’s personality! He is surely a businessman of means, probably both respected and feared in his town. The image is in excellent minus condition with brilliant tones and contrast with his cigar having a fiery red tip. It is housed in a great “Eagle in Flight” case, Berg 4-25. The case is in excellent minus condition with a repaired hinge.
