interesting cut boudoir cabinet card showing the photographic studio of Stevens and Robinson. If you look on the bottom left by the doorway you will see a photo case with numerous cabinet cards on display. The sign on the opposite side reads “Stevens and Robinson.” There is a man and woman in the windows of the studio on the second floor. On the left of the window is the “715”address and what appears to be the partial letters of studio, “DIO.” The former owner thought this might be Trenton, MO because of other photos they had purchased together with this one, but we have found no evidence of this photographic studio in Missouri. Below the studio is a London Tailors shop with Jobbers of Woolens directly above. While there is partial signage, unfortunately nothing has helped in identifying the location. Interestingly, above the “City” sign on the right it reads Shampooing so possibly a bath house. The image has nice tones and contrast. There is a wrinkle along the center of the image more prominent on the bottom.
