Lot 92

Delightful cabinet card of three men posed in their apothecary or pharmacy. There is an impressive display of cures behind them. The one directly behind the man’s head on the right reads, “Laxative Bromo Quinine for Colds.” If you look at his eyes they seemed quite crazed. Maybe he’s sampling his merchandise too much! More labels are visible upon magnification. We also see a rolled flag, a feather duster and a bicycle wheel on the far right. There is a large display of books or manuals not only in the bookcase but on the counter for sale along with a salesman suitcase front and center. The man in the middle has his small dog on his lap and the back has an ink identification that reads, “Earl Huff, A.D. Norton, Won S. E. and “Fly” dog.” The image is in very good plus condition with great tones and contrast. There is a little wear to the mount as seen. By W.S. Crandall & Co., July 27, 1899, Filmore, NY.
