Lot 99

Fabulous warm toned mounted photograph (7” x 9” with mount) of a football team in Andover, MA. From information online these young gentleman played for Phillips Academy, a private, co-educational, boarding-and-day, college-preparatory school founded in 1778. Former alumni included both Presidents Bush and the former New England football coach Bill Belichick. A motley crew indeed, some of the lads are posed in their uniforms while the “cool” kids are wearing their street clothes or letterman sweaters. The guy in the middle is priceless – we’re not sure if he was a player, assistant coach or even the water boy as we can see the bucket and rags on the ground! We also love the younger boy sneaking a peak around the corner while making sure he’s in the photo. The image is in very good condition with nice tones and contrast. It is a little lighter at the top as seen. By C.H. Newman, Andover, MASS.
