Lot 100

Fun, mounted photo (7”x10” with mount) showing a group of young artists posed with their prized work hanging from their table. All of them have won ribbons from a contest and the sign on the floor in front reads, Drawing Class, St. Boniface School, San Francisco, Cal., Feb’y 13, 1893. For the life us though we can’t tell what they created. Possibly an abstract painting! According to information online, “St. Boniface Church, run by the Franciscans since 1887, is the oldest German Catholic Church in San Francisco, established in 1860, with antecedents back to 1852.” The photo has some wear as seen but most of the spotting is located on the mount.
