Attractive Young Woman

Breathtaking sixth-plate daguerreotype of an attractive young woman displaying some serious attitude. We love her confidence as if to say, “I’m going to conquer the world and to damn with the norms!”  Fashion forward with a gorgeous dress she poses with her hand on her hip and stares directly at the photographer. Her hair is up with cool curls which glisten in the light. A painted backdrop completes this piece. While this is not photographer identified it does remind us of a Willard, Philadelphia that we sold in the past. The plate has spectacular tones and contrast with a few small scattered spots. We have resealed it with a new glass and it resides in a full leather case.  $200
