Devilishly Handsome Young Man

Enthralling sixth-plate daguerreotype of a devilishly handsome young man. Slender and tall he has an intense yet attractive appearance. While his outfit is understated his vest is quite unique in its quilted style. His hair while perfectly styled seems to have some static at the top as wisps of strands extend upwards. While he is posed in front of a plain backdrop in person it reads slightly like a sky in the background. The sharp plate is in excellent minus condition with strong tones and contrast and some light tinting to his face and lips. There are a few tiny spots as seen. The image had old seals intact and we have resealed it with a new glass. It is housed in a full leather case.  $75.00
