Fabulous mounted and matted albumen of a large group of surveyors out in the field. A few of these men look as rough and tumble as they come. The guy with the hat sitting in the front row looks as if he’d kill you in a heartbeat! Now the young kid on the left back row looks like he’s a newbie, with his cool hat and typical new work shirt. We assume the owner or manager of the group is the bearded man with the suit. We see two transits/ theodolites and numerous transit poles. Also the man on the far left might be holding a plane table. We’re not sure about the other piece of equipment on the ground on the right. The image measures 8” x 10” and a mat is mounted to the top. Judging from the toning on the perimeter we think this was probably framed at one time. It is in very good plus condition with nice tones and contrast. There is one darker spot on the man on the far left as seen.
