Fun mounted and matted albumen photograph of five young women with a chess board between the two that are seated. They certainly aren’t enthused with their day at the studio, and this reminds us of the school photo from years ago where our parents warned us to act normal! All the women have longer hair except the one on the left, whose is pinned up. The young woman in the center holds a quirky looking fan. The image has great tones and contrast with tinting to their cheeks. The shadows with the painted columns in the background are quite interesting. There are a few spots as seen. It measures 8” x 10”.
