Stunning sixth-plate daguerreotype of an attractive woman full of confidence and intellect. She certainly knew how to strike a pose as her expression is priceless. She is extremely elegant in her exquisite off-the-shoulder gown with black bodice and lovely lace cut sleeves. It appears that the bottom of her top has numerous horizontal cuts which would exhibit an extremely futuristic appearance. Her skirt is a pleated cream color for contrast. She wears a cool floral pin and a stunning three-strand pearl necklace along with what appears to be a shiny diamond- encrusted bracelet. The image is in excellent minus condition with wonderful tones and contrast. It had some old seals present and we have resealed it with a new glass. It is housed in a full case that certainly is from an earlier date than the brass mat. This one is a keeper so don’t miss out!
