Tender sixth-plate daguerreotype of two men. Whether a couple or just friends they certainly seem bonded for life as the man on the left extends his arm around his partner with a gentle touch. His partner wears a cool pair of subtlety striped pants and stares intently at the photographer, seeming to judge his technique. The plate has great tones and contrast with some small, scattered spots as seen. We have resealed it with a new glass and it is housed in nice “Throwing Flowers”, Berg 4-46 leather case with a repaired hinge.
