Engaging English ninth-plate daguerreotype of a handsome man posed in semi-profile. He cuts quite a dashing figure with his thick full hair and slender build. He wears a traditional suit and has an entertaining appearance to his face, which has light professional tinting. We’re sure he didn’t know a stranger. This beautiful daguerreotype is in very good plus condition with crisp whites and nice contrast. Housed in a full flip-top plain leather case, there are some edge lines from the mat. It had old seals intact and we have resealed it with a new glass.
