Dynamic sixth-plate daguerreotype of a tall handsome gentleman with gorgeous dark wavy hair. We have a feeling he was not short on companions as he presents himself in an eloquent manner. He has a slender build, and we love his modern look with a white vest and a cutting-edge jacket with looped buttons. He also has a small ring that is attached by a thread through the opening in his shirt and is connected to a chain most likely for his watch. The plate is in very good condition with strong tones and contrast. There are some spots as seen and it has been cleaned in the past. The image was resealed with what appears to be a new glass, and it is housed in an interesting half of a case that is plain with a simple empty medallion circle in the middle.
