Fun quarter-plate daguerreotype of a happy young man with a slight grin. The bespeckled, studious-looking lad appears to be slightly uncomfortable in this setting. Despite that, he is perfectly styled with a nice suit and tie. The plate is in very good plus condition with a lovely milky background and strong tones. There is a spot on his elbow on the right side as seen and a hint of a tiny ding by the mat on the upper right side. It was previously resealed, and someone has penciled Maine on the new seals. It is housed in half of a case.
